I love the Fall and the process of creating Secret Forests Paintings. My current work is now influenced by the events in nature that are changing our world. Climate Change. Wildfires are changing our forests and fauna. I have for years painted a series of abstract landscapes -Secret Forest's and now wish to draw the viewer's attention to the importance of our national parks and beautiful forests that are being changed by fire and development.
SOMEWHERE IN TIME
Now I am making it available for purchase again. It is very large and will come rolled in a tube suitable for stretching.
Working large is exciting. In my early career, I had no fear and rolled out the canvas and stretched it across the floor and tacked it to the wall. I was not concerned the alizarin crimson was $15.00 dollars a tube or that I would paint in my best clothes coming straight from a corporate job. I was simply working with passion and zeal. Reminder to self: Have no fear and paint with passion.Inspired by Jackson Pollock; years ago I painted in a little cottage in Charlotte, NC. I lovingly still call it Homer's House. Homer was a wonderful gentleman that lived here for over 12 years. His energy still permeates the place. I still remember; like it was yesterday. Somewhere in time. Working large is exciting. I still remember. How young I was. Ah sweet memory. PURCHASE
